ECHR Logo
European Center for Human Rights (ECHR)

ECHR is a human rights NGO with participatory status at the Council of Europe. As a founding member of the No Hate Speech Network, it leads advocacy and education campaigns against antisemitism, anti-LGBTIQ+ hate, and religious intolerance. ECHR brings critical insight into the mechanisms of discrimination and supports young people in becoming rights-based storytellers and changemakers.

Isuf is a veteran advocate for civil society and inclusion, with extensive experience in Council of Europe and EU-funded human rights projects. A key driver behind Memory Makers, he ensures the project upholds its mission to challenge hate and elevate marginalised voices in Holocaust remembrance.

Jagiellonian University (JU)

One of Europe’s leading research universities, JU is internationally recognised for its Holocaust studies and memory education. Through academic partnerships with institutions like Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, JU provides historical depth to the Memory Makers project, with a focus on neglected victim groups including Roma, LGBTIQ+ individuals, and women.

Dr. Agnieszka Gawlas Zajączkowska
Project Lead, JU

Agnieszka is a Holocaust scholar and historian of memory politics. As former Head of the Centre for Holocaust Studies at JU, she leads on content accuracy and ensures the project reflects diverse historical experiences and scholarly integrity.

Istorima

Istorima is a Greek non-profit dedicated to preserving oral histories through youth-led multimedia. Their national archive includes over 10,000 stories, many highlighting hidden voices in 20th-century European history. In Memory Makers, they train young people to ethically capture and retell WWII stories through animation, podcasts, and digital time capsules.

Anastasia Voutsara
Head of HR and Partnerships, Istorima

Anastasia is responsible for coordinating Istorima’s nationwide team of researchers and creatives. With a psychology background and expertise in ethical storytelling, she ensures that Memory Makers’ digital content respects survivors’ legacies and encourages empathy.

AY Institute is a youth-led organisation in Lithuania, recognised for advancing inclusive leadership and civic engagement. As members of the Lithuanian Youth Board (LiJOT), they empower young people to challenge discrimination and advocate for underrepresented historical narratives across Europe.

Deimantė Radišauskaitė
Senior Project Manager, AYI

Deimantė manages AYI’s human rights portfolio and brings political, cultural, and community-building experience to the project. Her work in Memory Makers focuses on creating forums for dialogue and remembrance that centre youth perspectives.

Momentum

Momentum is a youth focused innovation agency based in Ireland with a strong reputation for designing non-formal learning experiences. Through digital campaigns and social media advocacy, they seek to bring historical remembrance into the online spaces where young people live, learn, and act. Their work combats misinformation and promotes inclusive narratives, particularly relating to LGBTIQ+ and other marginalised communities.

Lola Gonzalez
Diversity Inclusion & Belonging Specialist, Momentum

Lola is a respected youth worker and inclusion advocate. In Memory Makers, she leads social media advocacy training, ensuring that young participants gain the confidence and tools to challenge hate and tell powerful, inclusive historical stories online.
