Youth Voices: WWII Oral History and Memory Workshop

Overview

This workshop, part of the Memory Makers project, equips young people with the knowledge and tools to better understand WWII and the Holocaust, including the importance of memory preservation and the impact on often underrepresented groups such as the Roma and Sinti. Participants will learn best practices for ethically interviewing survivors, alongside sound recording techniques to ensure high-quality oral history documentation. Expert voices from journalism, academia, law, and lived experience will guide every dimension of this work.
