Lessons from LGBTIQ+ Youth Net Project

Overview

The project LGBTQI+ Youth Net mission, showcased here by Democratic Initiatives Incubator in Ukraine, directly aligns with the project Memory Makers broader vision of fostering resilience and social cohesion by addressing discrimination, isolation, and radicalisation at their roots. By equipping young people with practical resources, encouraging cross-border collaboration, and creating shared spaces for dialogue, the project amplifies youth voices and strengthens collective action against hate. This presentation also highlights the inclusion of the LGBTQI+ community as one of our key target groups, reflecting our dedication to supporting those most affected by online hatred. Through exploring the historical roots of discrimination, the project empowers young people to critically understand and actively counter online hate speech, paving the way for safer, more inclusive digital and social environments.
